When you say print head do you mean the nozzle/ hotend, or the motor and gears the push the filament into the hotend?
The whole thing I was scared to bread somthing so I just replaced the whole thing but I matched all the wires in the right places
That was supposed to say break
So you’ve replaced the motor and assembly for the filament and the hotend?
yes and all i did was replace the wires in the holders with the correct ones for the new assembly
you probably use the wrong temperature sensor. These must be K-type Thermocouple, en can not be simple termistors.

Okay, and you say you purchased the MK7 assembly? The CTC Bizer has dual MK8 extruders on it not MK7. Do you have the link to the one you purchased? That would be helpful. It is most Lille thirst a case of the wrong sensor.
I’ll switch them out for the old ones and let you know if that works thanks for your help
My apologies it is a dual mk 8 head ill change the sensors for the old ones and let you know thanks for the help
I swapped them out and it works now but it goes straight to overheat in just a few seconds the heater is 12v 40 watt but it heats to red hot as soon as it starts then overheats I tried to switch the wires but it doesn’t seem to matter

CTC uses 24V so that is possible. btw you should reward good reactions with a thumbs-up (arrow up)

what exactly is zo broken on the original extruder that you can’t just repair that one? usually you only need to replace the nozzle and maybe the PTFE tube inside the heater pipe. I have printed 800+ hours with my CTC and never had to spend more than 5 dollar replacing some small parts
It stopped feeding and printing and it would have huge blobs on the print when it did and I am still new to this and had no idea what I was doing so I just replace the whole thing. Looking back I wish I would have found this forum before I did so I wouldn’t have wasted money and time
This is an Awesome Group!
, but also they have some really excellent information at here as well for the ctc Redirecting to Google Groups
I pulled the old heaters out and used them and it seems to be working again thank you soooo much for your help ill be doing an 10 hr print so ill let you know how it turns out thanks again
Are you certain that the thermistor has a closed connection? usually, the thermistor wire can snap since they are so delicate. Otherwise, double check the voltage and amps for your heater on your new extruder and compare to your old one. Let me know if this helps
