I have a flash forge creator pro with white PLA in the left extruder and black ABS in the right.
I’m trying to print a traffic cone using the simplify3d dual extrusion wizard but both times, part of the ooze shield / print fails and the pla nozzle gets jammed.
I can print the cone using a single extruder just fine.
Here are some time lapses to show you what is happening.

Any ideas?

ABS prints at temperature PLA will burn (crystallize) at, and I would not suggest mixing these materials in a print. Although the nozzles are independent, they are not insulated well enough to prevent heat flow from one to the other. Your PLA nozzle is most likely either getting too hot and the PLA is crystallizing, or ABS is getting stuck to the PLA nozzle and jamming it.

I would strongly suggest printing either in only PLA or ABS; either get white ABS to print with the black, or black PLA to print with the white.

Have you tried using similar materials? If I remember right PLA and ABS do not adhere to one another very well. That appears to be the problem in the videos as well. I would try printing with two different colors of PLA.

edit: I agree with Enza3D

Just to add, you would likely want to have your fan on for PLA and off for ABS, having it set incorrectly or going back and forth would cause PLA to sag and ABS to shrink, further affecting print quality. Edit: Thats in addition to agreeing with Enza3D

Thanks i’ll try with 2 PLA filaments but I noticed the printer only has a fan on the left side for cooling PLA, there is no turbo fan on the right. Will that cause issues?

I am not in agreement with this statement. I will admit little experience with dual extrusion, especially with different material, so this may not be true for dual material prints, but I get much cleaner results out of ABS when I run the fan.

ABS and PLA won’t stick to each other. Stick with same filament. HIPs might stick to ABS but I’m not sure.

Ciao. You cant mix 2 different matelials. They dont attach to each other.

I would agree with the people below. Mixing two different materials such as PLA and ABS is not a good idea as they have different melting temps and do not stick together.

The temp variation between the two materials can very well be the cause. To test use two of the same materials first. Generally when mixing materials with a dual ext you want to use materials that have similar temp settings. So you may want to try htpla (high temp PLA) and abs since they are closer in temp ranges than normal pla
