Hi all,

yesterday the following issue came to my attention: When I upload a part which I designed (and printed on my UM1+) it is impossible to choose my hub as it is filtered out due to the parts orientation I guess.

The part has to be rotated to fit on the UM1s build plate but this shouldn’t kick out each hub which can do this easily. So I think there is some space for development, because these parts fit perfectly on a UM1. Currently no hub with UM1 will be listed for a custumer unless he deactivates the filter “Hide incompatible printers”

The part I am talking about is a part of my rock tumbler, which can be downloaded here: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/affordable-rock-tumbler

(frame left or frame right, both parts leads into this issue)

Please let me know if you can confirm this issue.

Hey @ , indeed! I have just tried to upload it and the same thing happened. The part seem to be really big and that’s most likely the reason. We’ll take a look

Hi Arnoldas,

thanks for your reply. Cool that you will look into it. Looking forward to your solution for this problem

Cheers

Hi there again  I’ve looked into this and the best solution that I could think of is for you to adjust your file online. Simply save it after rotation and then it should be workable. Unfortunately we don’t have a mechanism that automatically rotates the model yet, but it is something worth looking into.
