What better way to break in the new FILABOT system than flush the extruder with a small amount of the provided virgin ABS pellets and then go full recycled ABS straight from the FILAMAKER pat shredder! From the info posted by @bramhallo I knew what temp settings to try first and the fact that a direct cooling air current would be needed. The initial minute trial and error extruding resulted in a final temp of 190C and my blower nozzle position a few inches away. This test setup work almost perfectly right away, but I may add a bit of an angled ramp to avoid having the extruded material droop down and get caught on the front lip of the Filabot. I used a wrench, pictured, as the needed filament guide. The resulting filament was measured with analog calipers, good enough for my Replicator 1, then spooled for easy feeding. My first print of a phone case worked surprising well and gave the confidence to go for a nice @Marvin to act as my materials swatch.

All in all, the afternoon’s test run was wildly successful IMHO. Video of the process for the #REMAKE3D campaign below:
