I printed the pedal bracket and I do not think, it will not brake. The pipes that hold the frame I am trying to print by stretching a tube file that can be found on thingiverse. I printed 2 pipes out of cf and want to dip in resin the tube to strengthen. The pipes are very brittle otherwise. If you are unfamiliar with fiberglass resins, it is simple. Tap plastics has the materials you would need. Once I get my printer going, I am going to try this. Or I will try coating the pieces I have already printed soon.

Nice project, Robert, and thanks for the tips! Make sure to share some photos once it’s done.

This is the center pedal bracket and 2/3 rd the leg pipe and wheel bracket. Thankyou.

I tried printing the handle front wheel bracket several times (3 or 4 times), you might see in the picture. Most failed 7/8 completed.

I lost my gell when the printr broke after it fell on the floor, and after drilling the extruder to fit 3 mm filament. I had to hotglue the pieces to the bed after enough was printed because the arm would spit off the piece towards the end.

I recommend using adhesive 99 and adhere paper to the hot bed floor. The pla sticks well to that.

or abs, hot bed temperature doesn’t matter after the first 50 layers? ya, the heat won’t keep the base from curling up. There’s a problem with fdm printers. If you are using supports though, there isn’t really any (curling).

I would like to mill the metal sprocket and even try a plastic printed chain? maybe?
