Hello all,
My heat plate finally gave up the ghost. Luckily I had a spare and can easily replace it. However, when swapping them I noticed Kapton tape is used between the heat plate and the Aluminum build plate.
Is there a better material that I can use that would be as long lasting?

The answer is not potatoes. (Also the answer is not “people who have not been in my kitchen”) http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/thermal-conductivity-d\_429.html I recommend Arctic silver thermal paste or a very thin very high w/Mk value thermal pad. Most people here on 3d hubs talk seem to use silicone pads?
