Hello everyone
I need your help, yesterday I trayed to print a big part in CTC replicator dual extruder, but after a few minutes the printer reset and from these time I can´t print nothing be cause have band leaps in X, Y, Z axes (I watch that the limit switches don´t recognice the signal) took limit switch an don´t stop and follow the way without stop in each limit switch.
HELP ME PLEASEEEEE!!! ASAP
Do the green LED on the limo switches light up when the switch is depressed?
Yes, the leds work ok, light up & light down but the function (on-off motors) dont respond, attache images to reference.
In thhis pictures the motor is on and make a noise like a truck (trrrrrrrr) and don make any movement.
I would bet you have a bad motor cable. Last time i burnt up the cable for my motor it was making an ugly scary “GRRRRRRRRRRRR” type sound… These machines are notorious for destroying the motor cable and endstop cable on the carriage. After burning through two sets in less than 1000 hrs I finally built a drag chain for mine. also I would order a spare… best wishes!
Perfect!!! The issue war the black cable that don´t provide signal, Repair the cables and the motor back to the normal travel.
So now my printer come on in a new problem!!! “over heating extruder” I read many blogs to repair the new problem and the solution says that is change of MOSFED is the little control of the thermal system.
Finally I down to buy another printer jajajajajaja
ThanKs Iceman for the support!!! Best regards!!!
PS: I think that I´m an expert to repair this printers jajajaj
LOL, I think we all get to that point after owning a ctc LOL! man trouble shooting that thing has taught me a ton lol, but mine is still not near as tricked out as many, but I love it! My CTC has great sentiment now after all those hours and more long hours of tearing it down and reassembling lol. Hey also I know build plate surface is crazy and everyone believes in something different but I like to Use the QIDI build tack for 3.00 us each, also the QIDI enclosure top will fit ctc and is like 30 bucks as opposed some that are much more… I still need to upgrade with bearing blocks and new build plate platform arms would be awesome, also I would eventually like to replace all the plastic gears with metal ones. and in the process of learning how to compile my own firmware… hey I know every printer is going to be different but about 100 printing hours after I replaced motor cable the endstop cable fried out, I went through hell trying to get extra replacements, but finally found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/351156545474?\_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
don’t think cable is right but for extra endstops at a fraction of what ctc was going to charge me, got 6 for 11 bucks ctc was going to sell me 3 for like 60 or something crazy. These work perfect… | eBay
Man also I had 7.2 installed on firmware, and I had to install a bootloader before I could update to sailfish 7.8, but it was definitely worth it in my opinion, but it was a nightmare for me to learn that lol I was convinced that I was doing something wrong like a timing malfunction at first! ps sorry to write a book I love my ctc, I am just a humble nobody trying to learn~ by gettin my geek on! PPS: I all joking aside my friend I believe to get these things to print you have to become expert!!! You have my vote of confidence Sir!
oh and the corner braces on thingiverse <3 straightened these wooden planks up. Happy printing. my overheating error I think came from me switching thermal couples around on accident. you can start a preheat and watch the monitor screen to see which(if correct heater) is heating? Best Wishes Hope you get printing soon! again!
