Hi all,

I think that when a customer uploads a part, it would be nice to only show the printers the part could potentially fit in.

It would allow to save everyone time and enhance the user experience.

Also, I have the impression that it negatively affects the hub’s rating when you decline such an order.

What do you think?

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out. If you are interested in learning more about how the Hub ranking works on the /3dprint page, please feel free to check this thread on our forum: Talk Manufacturing | Hubs. It touches upon all factors impacting your ranking, together with tips on how to improve it. One note though that starting few weeks back we also added the retention rate to the mix - please check the Changelog in your dashboard.

One of the main factors influencing the ranking are the declines. I had a look at your Hub and noticed you have declined 12 orders because the file is too large for your printer. I think it’s good to note here that whenever a file is uploaded on the platform, we usually filter out all printers that are smaller for the job. In your case, considering you’ve had already 12 of such instances, my recommendations is to:
- Confirm the dimensions with your customers. Sometimes model dimensions go haywire
- Flag it with our customer support team at support@3dhubs.com, to check whether the your printer details are set correctly

I noticed you are using a Core XY printer with a build volume of 38 x 38 x 40 cm, is this correct?

Best,

Jack - 3D Hubs

I think the whole “decline” issue is getting ridiculous. We are getting penalized for things beyond our control. Someone posts a spam order. Why should this be counted as a decline when it isn’t a real order and the hub had nothing to do with it? I could get all of my friends to make fake orders on a competing hub so they get a whole bunch of declines and wreck their reputation.

I had an order get duplicated by mistake and asked for it to be removed. It is now a decline and counts against me which is ridiculous. How can this be considered a decline?

Also why is it when you archive an inquiry it is also a decline? Inquiry’s are questions. If you answer the question and there is no more conversation and you decide to archive it since it is not active why on earth is that a decline? This is just plain stupid.
