Can anyone help out with a bizarre malfunction? I bought and assembled a Anycubic Kossel linear plus printer and after a lot of difficulty got the software up and running. The problem I’m having is it is running partially backwards … Using pronterface In the initial setup I’m supposed to enter G28 the code for home, with the nozzle placed on the bed, when I do the nozzle wants to dig into the bed. You can imagine the freak out after building this thing with amazing care. The nozzle should be going up. Next I’m supposed to enter G1Z100 and when I do the bed travels down, that parts correct. When I go into Arduino and reverse the motors x,y,z, true to false, here’s what happens. G28 From the bed the nozzle rises and when I enter G1Z100 it rises and when I enter G1Z50 it still rises!!! Can anyone suggest a fix for this, thank you in advance.

This might be because the wiring of the motors should be counterclockwise. Its the only idea that i have.

Hi, one thing you can do is to check the direction of the carriages on linear bearings.

I’m not sure what you mean. Can you explain in more detail please.

Are you suggesting it possible I have the X, Y, Z, motor wiring from the main board going to the wrong motor?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

When you wire the motors(at least my pulley version) the wires should be counter clockwise from the back panel(charging connector and USB connector). If I may cause your problem.

Exp

The motor north of the back panel is z, the one west of it is x, and the one east of it is east.
