Just completed assembly on the kossel linear plus; plug it in for the first time and nothing happens. I see a small green light in the power supply turns on but that’s it, nothing on the trigorilla board and nothing on the display. Also tried to connect via USB and more of the same, nothing happens. If i connect my prusa with no power I at least see the board pop up on a com port. Does this mean I’ve got a dead board or is there something else going on?

I would not jump directly to the conclusion that the PCB is dead.

First thing is to double check the connections (wires) from the power supply to the board. Do you have a multimeter / voltmeter? Maybe a friend that has one and can help you.

Try this and give us your feedback.

I’ve checked continuity from the power supply which is good and checked that I’m getting 12v across the terminals. The only thing that happens when I attempt to power on is a quiet clicking noise.

You can try to electronically debug the at a local electronical repair shop.

Also complain to the supplier that you bougth the printer from. You might get a replacement.

Sorry that I could not be of further assistance.

Thanks for responding regardless. Story does have a happy ending though, took some photos and sent to the supplier, one of their engineers determined it was a dodgy limit switch. I didn’t see how that would effect powering on but swapped out just to try and everything suddenly came to life
