Hi,
I have a CTC 3D printer, and have been having major problems with it, everything was fine until one day…Chaos and now I have spent so much time and money trying to fix it. I think I am close but I guess I could be wrong? here is my problem:
So I switched over the extruders and fitted new ones,
As part of the switch over I got new thermocouples and heater tubes ( I got the 24v heat tubes ) have wired everything in and do not get any errors about connections any more. However when I heat up the extruder to place in PLA the temp does not stop where it is supposed to, instead it keeps rising until the whole 3D printer shuts down through over heating. So if I set it to 220, I can watch it get to 220 on screen, and then it just continues to raise the temp until I get the error
Extruder Overheat! Software Temp limit Reached! Please Shutdown or Restart
I have replaced the thermocouples for brand new ones, but the problem still happens, do I need a new Mightyboard? If not is there any way to test if the main board is ok?
Thanks for your time!!

What slicer are you useing?
I am using Simplyfy 3D although, this problem happens when I have nothing connected to it, just wanted to test putting in filament without it being connected to a slicer
Thanks
Can anyone please help me with this problem?
Can I give any more information to help get information?
Thanks
You must have wired the heater up wrong. The board isn’t able to stop it heating.
Thats my guess anyway.
