hello so i just get a printer and put it together, but the problem is whenever i try to printer or home all the hot bed starts to move forward and keeps going even tho it cant.

It looks like the polarity for the motors is backwards. I don’t know if that is possible with stepper motors though. The y axis should go backwards to hit the limit switch so that it knows where the axis ends.
was this issue solved? how did you solve it as my new a8 printer is doing the exact same thing.

Did you solve the problem? From the video it looks like the x and y axis motors may be switched on the control board. I would check your wiring, then, instead of hitting the home option try going to X or Y axis posistion and moving it manually. Obviously if the motion does not reflect what you are inputting the wiring is most likely wrong. While under “posistion” option it’s a good time to check that the end stops are working. Push and hold one with your finger and it should register as “on” for that axis.
Hey keiserjak!
It seems like you have built the black backplate (on which your Y stepper motor rests) is 180 degrees rotated. I appended a Photo of the desired build.
The stepper should be at the left side, pointing towards right with the axle.
Have a nice day, hope it solves your problems!
