Hi. I have had my anet a8 for about a year now and the quality has been outstanding. But recently my prints have started to have this Washboard texture on them. Every other layer is another depth. Screenshot - 431188284a03237276fee4601a0fb9b9 - Gyazo I have tried to print at different hotend temperatures but I still get the same outer walls. Before i had this problem my anet a8 could print the jolly #3DBenchy - The jolly 3D printing torture-test by CreativeTools.se by CreativeTools - Thingiverse almost perfectly. I always use pla. Thanks in advance!
Judging by your issue it seem that you have misaligned layers. I own an Anet A8 myself and there are two things that could be causing this issue. A lose frame (which requires that you go around and tighten up all the screws on the acrylic frame but be careful not to over tighten and crack the frame). The other more like issue is that the A8 doesn’t use fiberglass reinforced belts so they tend to stretch. In which case you need to tighten the belts and you might need to readjust the dimensional accuracy of the printer afterwords with a calibration cube. I also suggest that you follow the PDF I attached.

your belts may be loosening. Also try a toothed belt tensioner on the x and y and the waves should go away. I am new to the A8 but I have seen this discussion several times on the FB Anet A8 reprap page.
