My reading leads me to believe that using PVA as a soluble support material causes more than a few headaches :exploding_head:. Problem is, I have an intricate printing problem involving an hinged structure and I need support in the hinges but there is no mechanical way to remove (for example) PLA support.
eSun produce two alternative materials, eSoluble and HIPS.
Has anyone used these and, if so, what was your experience?
I’d also appreciate suggestions on other alternatives.

Thanks

If printing PLA I think you will find that PVA is the best choice.
HIPS takes a chemical (Limonene) to dissolve and is also more suited to ABS.
Haven’t looked at eSoluble yet.

Thanks for that wirlybird.
