I purchased the Maker Select V2 (Black) about a week ago, and so far it has seen a full day worth of print time. Every print so far has been amazing but all of a sudden it prints horribly…

It seems as though it warped during a print and a bunch of PLA became stuck all around the extruder and the heater. I’m really frustrated and re-leveled the bed 4 times testing prints to no avail.

Unless I did not notice before, the extruder is also leaking now both when in idle and seemingly also while printing.

Any help or suggestions would be amazing.

Leaking where?

From the tip? Around the sides … thread into heater block?

Looks like you are printing hot.

You may be able to clear up the problem by doing some simple, standard maintenance on the hot end.

Do a google search for nozzle removal for your specific make and model, but in general, you

heat the hot end to around 190 and remove the nozzle and heatbreak. After everything cools

down you can clean and check for damage. I keep several nozzles and heatbreaks as spares,

as well as two heat blocks, one with spare heater cylinder and thermister.

And don’t forget that you have to heat the hot end up to 190 before putting the nozzle and

heatbreak back in. Channel lock pliers are good for holding the hot end.
