Hi, I would like to buy myself a first 3D printer around $1000… Looked into a few printers I quite like including Robo3D R1, CraftUnique Craftbot+ and PrintRbot Metal+. But I couldn’t decide which to pick. If anyone could give me some advise I would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

If you have a couple hundred to spare or maybe look around a little for something used, the Flashforge Creator Pro is one of the best for the price point.

I wouldn’t touch the Robo3D.

Hey @makoeros, if you haven’t already, you should definitely have a look at the 3D Printer Guide we put together based on the community experiences: Best 3D Printer Guide 2023 | Hubs. Hope it helps!

I heard great things from the printerbot metal, especially considering it’s pricing. My personal preferences would be the Lulzbot TAZ mini or the Ultimaker 2 Go, even if that would require me to safe money for some more time. The 3d printer guide by 3dhubs is definitely worth checking out. Why not visit a local hub, that owns one of your printers, so that you can take a look at it working, before your purchase your own.

Don’t make the mistake of spending all your money on the printer itself. Whatever the choice is, also think of materials, some tools and spare parts if things break down (they will break or wear out over time)

Good luck!
