I am adding AC and DC multimeters to my Anet A8 printer. I had no trouble with the AC meter, but with the DC meter, I’m having this problem: I am connecting the meter between the 12v DC power on the hotend MOSFET and the heater leads, which are the MOSFET load. However, no matter where I connect the 12v power wires, the hotend heats up immediately on powerup, and does not stop until I pull the plug. I can’t find a combination of power and load points that do not behave in this same way. I am using the Bayite meter from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013PKYAV6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1).
Any help anyone can offer will be appreciated.
