Hello guys, i have a question concerning the Active Cooling on the Makerbot Replicator 2. I need it to be at 100%, but at the end of each layer the fan slows down for like 2-3 seconds which generally is the reason why my build fails. Is there any possibility to let the fan turn permanently at 100% durng the whole printing progress? Or do I need to connect that fan to an extern electricity source to achieve this?

You should be able to set it in the slicer or on the machine during the print. 2-3 seconds of a slower fan shouldn’t impact much. What slicer are you using?

I believe there is a setting for that when you create a custom profile for print parameters using Makerbot Desktop. You’ll see just about every kind of parameter you can find. I think you’ll be looking for something like “fan settings”. It’s been awhile since I’ve used my Rep 2.

I’m using 123D Design.

I’m already using a custom profile, the active cooling is on 100%, but it still slows down at the end of each layer…
