Hi all,
I have just added the active cooling fan on my CTC 3D printer. I have connected the new fet on the board and printed off and one of the parts from thingiverse. All is well and the printer still works (bonus)
The issue I have is when I set the printer to pre-heat, just as the hot end get to temp the active cooling fan comes on as well.
I use Simplify 3D for slicing and I have set the cooling settings to:
Layer 1 - Fan Speed 0
Layer 3 - Fan Speed 100
When I run the print the cooling fan doesn’t shut off and just runs during the whole print when I would have expected it to be off until layer 3 and then turn on to 100% I have attached the G-code that is output as I don’t think it possible to read the x3g file at all.
Please can someone help?

A quick bump. Has anyone done the cooling fan mod on the CTC 3D printer? Do I need to update the firmware to Salfish to be able to control the cooling fan from the print?
I have worked out what the issue is and this is now resolved.
