We just purchased our first 3D printer.
First question: how often should we be leveling? My son is leveling every time – is that necessary?
Second question: same issue that a lot of people are having: major peeling/ warping. We have tried using the glue stick but it’s not helping. What should we try next?

Level the bed frequently is a good habit. It’s only take roughly 20 seconds to do, so why not
My advice is do not spend more than 10 minutes to level the bed. If you do it right, it only takes 30 seconds to 1 minutes. For warping, try to add some brim and buy a build surface like PEI, buildtak, filaprint…etc. They all work great, but I like PEI better because it last 3-4 months for heavy user like me.
P/s don’t bother to use abs juice because it is really bad for our health.
I only level as needed.
you didn’t mention the material your using. Im guessing ABS by the problem your describing, is that right?

I haven’t leveled in months on my creator pro. Add skirt or brim to keep things from peeling up.

It is not necessary to level after each printing job. I leveled my printer when I purchased it and then after 15-20 prints. For sticking peeling for warping issue use rafts.
Hi
I guess your printing in PLA since it’s a finder and doesn’t have a heated bed.
When I first started using my finder I got the lifting and warping even with glue, although a perfectly levelled bed helped I still experienced issues.
Now it’s up to you but if you’re careful you can take out the glass plate and flip it around so the blue surface is on the bottom. Then you can start to use other materials on the plain glass surface.
Buildtak/lokbuild with a little glue may work better and don’t cost much.
As for the levelling issue I feel your pain, at the start I didn’t have to re level all that much but after a lot of use I have to level after every few prints
The thing to bear in mind is you need to ensure it’s level for the layer height you are printing at. The 1st layer height must be equal to or more than the rest of the layers. I’d probably always use 0.2mm as a 1st layer height and see how it goes.
after levelling you could manually tweak it by printing an object that is only 1 0.2mm layer thick then adjusting as nescesary.

Level every time if you want but don’t obsess on it! It is good practice. Level then see how the print goes and learn from anything that is not so good.
“I just leveled and it does this now”, think it through as to what could cause the problem then re-level and see. In time you will get a “feel” for leveling and you will get to where you can make a small change on the fly as a print starts.
Most printing problems have simple solutions so always start with the obvious!
