Have you tried Craiglist? Might have better luck offloading them locally there. Be sure to put some uses in the description such as being able to wrap up christmas lights on them. Maybe reddit too at https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/

Everyone has a few to a few hundred empty spools a month if you manage to sell them for $0.50 I’ll send you all of mine for $0.10 EA
