I just need some help. I bought a 3D Sense scanner as my first scanner. I need to scan chairs and do an unwrap so i can measure parts of the fabric.

What would be the advice on the workflow?

This is what I do now:

1-scan the item from various angles

2-clean with the provided software by 3d sense

3-load the image in 3ds max

Small images have 10.000 polygons or more.

The problem is that the unwrap is almost impossible.

I need to know if it’s faster to copy the model in either 3ds max or sketchup.

Also I don’t know how to make my scans at scale. A 1.4 meter object measures almost 5 meters in any software I load.

I tried Meshlab, Blender, Sculptris and UV Layout.

I uploaded one of the scans.

I need to cut and measure from the seams.
