This month’s 3D Maker Meetup will be this Thursday, Jan 28th, from 7-8pm at the Brighouse branch in Richmond.
The topic will be 3D Scanning!
There will be two presenters-
me (Julian): Quick explanation of the science behind some of the more popular techniques- structured light, time of flight, and photogrammetry.
Patrick Wirt: Production Manager at Pixel Light Effects will talk about real life 3D scanning- from mountains to movies and points in-between!

Interested in meeting other makers from the community? At this meetup, enjoy a chance to meet Patrick Wirt, Production Manager from Pixel Light Effects, a subsidiary of Corbel 3D and Julian Rendell.
Patrick will be presenting high Fidelity 3D scanning in visual effects and 3D printing.
Julian will share the science behind structured light, time of flight, and photogrammetry.
Participants will have an opportunity to present their own creations and to discuss projects with the group.
Meetups will be held the last Thursday of each month, 7-8pm in the Launchpad. All ages welcome.
