Where do people use their 3D printer for?

I use mine for many applications. I have one at work where we use it for prototyping fixturing for the medical device industry. The others are for my personal use, whether it is fixing a broken knob or prototyping a new design/invention.
They can be used for just about anything 
I use it for fun design projects that i want something tangible from, and molds for castings. Also I like having hardware that i can take apart and upgrade too.
