I’m looking for high quality 3d printing for jewelery and miniatures, I need masters printing that I can then mould and cast from.
Think of the detail of wargaming miniatures, that’s what I’m after.
I’ll either produce a larger one for you to scan or provide a sketch for you to draw in cad.
Anyone available?

Hi there,
I can help with this.
Recreating it in CAD may be quicker depending on model/design details. Message me back or email me some details to https://www.3dhubs.com/leicester/hubs/designeering
When do you need all this by?
Please advise.
Sébastien
PS: If you can imagine it, we can print it.
Hi Sebastien, thanks for the input! Just a heads up that I moderated your email out. In the future, please use a link to your Hub profile as means of communication. Cheers and have a great weekend!
Hi
I thought I’d get in touch and let you know that although we are not operational as yet our business has a machine on order that will print in a variety of materials and down to 16 microns.
I know that this is of no help today but maybe helpful later on for the detailed work your require.
Thanks for letting me know, when you are ready send me a message and we can try something.
Thanks for reply. I’m away at the moment but back home in a couple of weeks then I’ll show you the kind of things I do.
I’m an old fashioned sculptor, I work with my hands, so never used cad before, but went to the TCT exhibition and was very impressed. As I do larger work anyway it would be nice to just scan and shrink it but I’m sure there’ll be some cad work as well.
if your printer can get the detail I need there will be ongoing work for you.
ill be in touch, Dave
Hi Dave,
It would be good to discuss all this further with you, your project sound very interesting.
Lots of avenues can be explored, we have the knowledge to support you. Our 3D printer prints at 0.06 layer resolution in anything from PLA to ABS and also some of the more exotic materials like woodFill or even dissolvable PHA and bronzeFill filament. The latter can be polished to a finish that mimics sculptures, may be ideal for your project.
We have also just taken delivery of a portable Scanner. It attached to an iPad and allows us to scan objects from the size of a shoe to a car! Precision is 0.5 mm at 40 cm. We are eager to put it through its paces, scanning your cultures would be a good test.
We have the tools and knowledge to help you out, do not hesitate to get in touch on your return. When you are ready, please message me back to:

Sébastien

Sounds very promising, I’ll be in touch when I’m back.

Can I see your work anywhere online, do you have a website or an online portfolio showing your sculptures?

Have you progressed this any further?

Hi Dave,
Just to let you know, since last time we spoke, we are now up and running and have joined the Hub.
https://www.3dhubs.com/leicester/hubs/irongiant3d
Our Hub will tell you a bit about our printer’s excellent, ultra, quality capabilities along with some examples of work we have printed. Attached are two photos of our printer with the very first thing we printed, a fully working adjustable spanner!
We are always available for a discussion over the telephone about what your ideas for your project are and how we can help. If you are local to us you are always welcome to pop in to our office/studio for a cup of tea, here you can see our printer and get a feel for the products we have produced.
If you are interested Dave, we have a Pinterest board. Irongiant3D. One of our favourite boards is titled Art/Sculpture. Here you can see some of our favourite 3D printed pinned pieces of Artwork.
Kind regards,
