Hi everyone I’m new to 3D printing and having a few issues.I recently purchased a Maker Gear M2 with a dual extruder. I have been using Slic3r and printing simple objects. Along with the test prints (one of which does use the 2nd extruder.) My issue: I don’t know much about gcode yet. While I am having some fun learning it, this is a hobby and it seems a lot to learn. Every time I go to print something with one extruder it works fine. When I use both it doesn’t seem to prime the 2nd extruder and the first parts of the print don’t come out thick enough and doesn’t end up sticking. Is there a start up gcode I should be putting in Slic3r? While I’m trying to figure out what it would be myself to make my own, it would be nice if I could be printing while I learned… tackle some of the other issues I’m going to come across. Is there somewhere I could find it? I am using black PLA in the left extruder and blue in the right. Both purchased from Maker Gear. I understand, or at least can figure out how to set/adjust things like extrusion width, layer depth etc… but I am having a hard time getting the 2nd exruder working right (seems calibrated just starts out thin and bumpy.) I am sorry if this is something you’ve seen a million times. I’m sure the information is out there and I’ll be back to looking as soon as I hit publish. Thanks.
