My printer is making a really strange grinding noise when the platform moves up and down. If i jog it up and down and its moving slowly its not too noisy but when im about to start a print as it moves up to meet the extruder it grinds horribly. It didnt start off making this noise but sounds like it needs some wd40 which im obviously loathe to use given i dont want to mess it up. Has anyone had this problem?

Hiya what printer do you have? Whatever you do don’t use wd40. Try white lithium grease or something similar instead. There’s a few how tos on youtube
