Hi there!

I’m having trouble with my print bed not heating at all and after days on the phone with Lulzbot service folks I’m no closer to solving the problem. It is a 1.5 year-old Lulzbot Taz 6 and this is the first issue I’ve had with it. I need to get it up and running soon, so any help in the right direction is much appreciated!

Does the print bed show a temperature on the screen? And if it does is it close to what the nozzle temp also shows after they have both cooled to room temperature?

What has support had you try? If you have a multimeter unplug the heated bed wire plug. Its the larger one and measure the resistance across the two leads.

Hi keebie81,

The print bed shows the ambient temp and does not rise at all. The nozzle will come up to heat on its own, no trouble. At rest they both read the ambient room temp.

I’ve tested out pretty much all the wires related to the print bed and we think that it is an intermediary cable between the bed and the Rambo but I don’t have access to the materials or tools to make a new one. I’m also not completely convinced that this cable is the issue! It reads .000 on the multimeter.

Itworks3d.com sells used parts and should have a cable assembly available. If out of stock try calling them and see what they might have around
