Hello,
I’ve looked over the ratings on 3D Hub of printers, their pros and cons but im still unsure as to which printer to go with as a starting printer
Id like a fairly big build volume but dont want to pay over the odds for it (something below £500). Ive read the FlashForge Creator 3D Printer is a good printer to get for a starter but ive also read its outdated, is this true? while im sure its fairly old since it was first released does this make a difference?
Tom
Is there any better models ive not came across,

Hey there @rensh. There are really no outdated 3D printers. Some printers are a year or two behind the leading edge of what’s possible. But you can pay 2 or 3 times as much for the leading edge so I wouldn’t be too concerned about buying one of the older designs if I were you. The design of my Up! Mini is a couple of years old now but it chugs out great prints time after time so I’m not complaining and I’ve seen it for sale within your budget recently. There’s also an advantage of buying a more established design as you’ll find more information on-line about how to get the best out of it.

Thank you for your response, Ill look in to the model you’ve suggested. I just didnt want to invest in an out dated 3D printer
Well, as I say, there’s really no such thing as an outdated printer. It’s iPhone 5 against iPhone 6+. And, when all’s said and done, it’s not what ya got, it’s how ya use it!
Oh! And unless you’ve got a ready market, there’s really no such thing as a 3D printer as an investment either. They depreciate faster than Ferraris.
dont know which one to go for, but DONT go for cube 3 by cubify the cartridge jam rate for me was 100%, already 4 cartridges used. They send replacements, but it forces you to pay duties (if you’re in Canada) and replacements ALSO jam.
It’s in the price range you mentioned so I decided to share my experience
