Hi guys, I thought I would post a an update to the 3D printed RC stealth boat project I am working on.

I am doing it as an open project so that anyone can print their own and also modify the design to make it better, the files can be found here. If you have any ideas feel free to add them in the comments  I was originally inspired by the stealth boat from the James Bond movie ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ so that’s why it looks a little bit weird.

I have printed everything except the electric motor, bearings, battery pack and control system. The hull and top of the boat was all printed as was the outboard motor section (which includes propeller, gears, propshaft, driveshaft and the outboard casing). It was all printed in ABS and then sealed with acetone vapour smoothing to make it water proof. I attached the large sections together using buts and bolts that I melted into the print (I wrote a blog about the technique here). I printed the gears and shafts at 100% infill for extra strength while the rest was 10% infill.

I hope you guys like it and look forward to hearing your thoughts
