Hi! I am happy to show my last maker creation: a functional 3D Printed Cinema Reel.

I used Tinkercad to create the 3D model and BQ robotics kit + two stepper motors + two motor drivers to automate the mechanism.

It just needs some more work on the calibration of the distance between the light-animation roll-lens.

I attach you some photos of the result!

Finally a video link of a short making off:

A blast from the past - what a great use of 3D printing  So awesome, Sergi, thanks for sharing it with us!

So awesome, I love it! What printer and filament did you use for it? I curious about the electronics, never tried the BQ kits - was it hard to set it all up?

Hi! Thanks for the comment! I used Formbytes printer, a new one from Barcelona (www.formbytes.com), with PLA 1.75mm (White color). BQ kit its just awesome, similar to arduino but easier connections, with some electronic complements such as the button you don’t need jumpers to do the connections, tihe boards are prepared, just plug and play. This is a one week project
