Hi Is anyone using 3d printer for dental applications? I would like to know what is the cost of 3d printer for dental use and what is the cost of making prototype of jaws? Is it cheaper than what is currently used in dental practice?

I am currently printing sectional dental models on my Titan 1. I get really good results with a high resolution. I had to modify my technique and printing vat though, which meant re-inventing things for my specific needs. Before I started this journey, it seemed impossible to do and I was told all sorts of things by companies trying hard to sell super expensive equipment. Not so. It seems the additive manufacturing revolution is definitely not exclusive to dentistry. In my experience, it is now possible for any small dental lab to print models, even without the dental software. I would like to get this message across to as many labs as possible. Any help just ask away. Another option would be for you to upload your scan on to 3D hubs and get it printed for you.
