I’m having an issue with my 3d printer. It’s a Kossel that run on a smoothieboard. I am having an issue with the printer ending prints to soon. The last two prints I’ve attempted, the print has failed at around 90% percent complete. Here’s the odd part: the printer returns to home position as it normally would when a print is complete. If the board was temporarily losing power, I would expect the print to stop but the effector to remain in the same location. I have checked the gcode manually and in pronterface and gcode.ws. It is complete. Also, the prints failed at different stages, which would lead me to believe it’s not the gcode. Does anyone know what causes this? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Are the thermistor readings corrent and stable? Anything else that could trigger a failsafe? Does the problem happen when printing from SD as well? It might be a communication error between the PC and the printer, you should check the comms logs at the moment of failure.
