This is a very special day today - we’re launching a “Get this printed” button on Thingiverse! This connection means that we’re enabling over 700,000 designs to be printed in over 150 countries! The details about this can be found here

At this initial stage we’ll have models of the top 8 most popular Thingiverse designers ready to be printed through our network: Arian Croft (aka Dutchmogel), Bold Machines, Isaac Budmen, Laura Taalman (aka mathgrrl), Nervous System, Quincy Robinson of 3D Kit Bash, Simplus Design, Walter Hsiao.

In order to push for a full roll-out, sign up here to get the “Get this printed” button next to your designs on Thingiverse.

This should be great news for you guys, because:

  1. There will be more orders.
  2. No worries about the file formats.
  3. You’ll get even more experience with some really nice designs!

Wonderful!

I think this may be the biggest step towards getting consumers involved in 3D printing since the formation of 3D Hubs itself! I am going to do an exhibition at a school fair soon and one of the ways I intended introducing people to 3D Hubs was by leading them to Thingiverse- among other resources. You’ve just made that a whole heap easier.

I really expect that this will drive a lot of orders for all of us. I will be doing my bit to market it in my neighbourhood!

Thanks and keep up the great work.

Hi all, Natalie from 3DKitbash.com here,

We’re excited to be one of the designers included in the pilot!

Looks like the link to the 3DKitbash Thingiverse page is broken. You can find our models here: http://www.thingiverse.com/3DKitbash/about

We can’t wait to see them printed by 3D Hubs! ~Natalie

Any consideration of youmagine? I would like to see this done with youmagine too.

I second this. I would love to see integration with YouMagine.
