Nice, but I would add a few things.
Materials- you hit on it briefly, I would go into more details. I see makerbots new printer is PLA only, which feels a little behind the times. Several printers out there cant print over 230 degrees, so brass, nylon, petg are not options.
Open source or closed source. A big decider on what printer to get. Do you want support from the community, future upgrades, etc? I still have an old cupcake laying around, and someone just released and update to the firmware! Makerbot has not upgraded it, but every one else has…
Current user base. Its always a shame when someone buys some flashy printer and then there is only a small number of users to help with it. User base support is very important.
