I can’t get Marvin’s ears properly. Does anyone know what I could change to get it?

I have a prusa i3, printing with ABS 220-230C and bed with 100C. I tried lowering the speeds on Slicer but still can’t get it.

Thanks!

Very common problem with the ears sucking in on Marvins. You need more layer cooling. As the filament cools - it contracts (especially ABS). If the underlying layers are still soft, they can be pulled inwards. Marvins “ears” are very close to the heatbed, which is why this happens so easily.

Even though you normally don’t want much - if any - layer cooling with ABS, it’s OK with a part this small. Turn on the cooling fan if you have one.

Try lowering the heatbed temp a bit. You could also try changing the number of perimeter layers - sometimes that helps.

Looks like you might be having a small problem with extrusion rates too - or maybe your ABS has absorbed some moisture.
