Good Day Everyone.

I’m having some trouble printing in ABS, (the printer prints beautifully in PLA).

Printing using a Duplicator 5S mini with

Head : 220

Bed: 90

Infil: 100%

Layers: 0.1 mm

As you can see from the pics the first few layers overextrude and from then on the print is fine.

Any advice would be appriciated.

What slicer and what brand of ABS and what speed?

I would try 230 on the temp. Bed is good especially if it is sticking to it. You may find you need a little hotter if it is lifting.

I would also start with .2 layers and get that working well before going smaller.

Thanks for the reply

Just using the WanhaoMaker software at the moment so I’m not sure what slicer software it uses.

The print Speed is 50mm and the ABS also Wanhao already tried increasing the temp to 230 but same result.

So i’ll try the 0.2 layer and see if that works.

Might slow a bit to 2000mm/min or so. Slowing can usually help some with issues. Turn off the cooling fan if it has one.

Looks like it could be over extruding a bit. You might run through the calibration cube exercise to see how it is doing.
