How do the consumer level recyclers handle moisture in the plastic? I don’t think any of them include a dehydrator so do they warn the users that they must dry the material before its recycled?

Here’s a good list of the various consumer recyclers currently available along with prices…

I don’t know how accurate the information is. I haven’t verified it. Post up if you see anything that doesn’t look correct.

@bramhallo is my idea total bonkers?

Ok cool, that makes using recycled filament even more attractive

That would be supercool indeed! Will be sure to share if there are any updates with respect to this.

It is indeed a pretty cool idea! Instead of wasting so much of it - you should be able to simply recycle it! Maybe some printshops even have that. They can actually indicate that in their descriptions so that the Hubs could help one another! I am sure we’ll think of some way to arrange that in the future.

I am curious though if that would be good enough source of income for them. what do you guys think?

@boelle, not at all. We’re currently starting up some tests to see if this is an idea that might work and if so in what way this would be best.

As soon as we’re a little further in this process I will definitely make sure to keep you all updated
