Hello all,

i have a CTC and i have a had a number of issues. The latest one is that my thermocouples failed and i bought 2 new ones form makergeek. Now i get completely inaccurate temperatures. If i print colorfabb XT i usually printed it at 250C, now at 250 C it boils the plastic, i have to set it to 190C for it to print correctly. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the thermocouple calibration in the firmware?

Hello Eduardo,

Can you put some pictures of it, because i’m not saying that you did it wrong, but it seems that it might be miss placed, because if it is not in right position to get the temperature, the sensor it will be not in the 250C, but the extruder is allready there, therefore it will keep heating until the sensor gets the 250C, and that you can see with, if you say to stop heating in 190C the extruder might be at 250.

Hello,

Mine is the same way… I have replace the thermal couple, and now my tempatures are different…

Mine is not as drastic, but my temperature never reaches the temp it is supposed to… but close enough to start making the print.

Is there a calibration process for this…?

I also noticed my length of the thermocouple wires are longer… which is nice, but I think this may be part of my problem…

I mounted them in the same place as the originals.

If I put my temperature around 240 I need to hold the fan for it to start because it never reaches 240. It hovers around 225. I was hoping someone knew how to modify the sailfish firmware or point me in the right direction in te code to modify the calibration.
