so i had the one of the wires to my heating element somehow break not too sure why couldnt been from bending /moving back and forth during prints etc. but anyways when i caught the problem it had sparked a lttle then the lcd immediately went to squares and wouldnt display anything. im pretty sure the board is ok. i reflashed with skynet and it fully functions except for my hot end. i had bought 2 heating elements since trying to figure out why they wont heat up and i also got a new thermistor with the second one i bought. idk im pretty stumped on which direction i should go. ive played with the thermistor settings and hot end setting in the firmware to see if i could find something that made it work but no luck. if anyone could help id appreciate it alot . mahalo
Which wire did break? The small wire with the little plastic dot in the front (Temp. sensor) ? If this breaks then the Board does not receive sensor data and does not heat up the hotend due to safety reasons.
It was one of the wire leading into the barrel plug. I’ve since got replacements and also flashed skynet but I can’t get it to work still. For how cheap these are I’m tempted to just buy a new one
