Gallagher Joins Delta Energy Board of Advisors

Smart grid data firm Delta Energy & Communications has brought in Michael Gallagher to join its board of advisors.

“Michael brings to Delta an impressive a track record of success and leadership at a variety of highly-regarded energy and utility companies,” said Scott M. Foster, President & CEO of Delta Energy & Communications. “We are pleased to have him join the Delta Board of Advisors to share his deep expertise in the industry to enhance our global position as a pioneer in smart grid energy solutions.”

The Delta Board of Advisors is comprised of leading industry experts who provide ongoing expertise and consult with Delta Energy & Communications.

Gallagher is senior vice president in the Sempra Infrastructure Group, overseeing information technology, procurement and natural gas operations. Most recently, he was senior vice president and president of natural gas at Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, leading the company’s commercial development, origination, operations and project development, and was also CEO of Mobile Gas Service Company.

Gallagher has served in various functions across the Sempra Energy family of companies. He was senior vice president at Southern California Gas Company—the nation’s largest gas utility—in charge of engineering, transmission, storage and distribution facilities; and also managed Sempra Generation’s fleet of gas-fueled and renewable power plants. Prior to joining Sempra, 

Gallagher was a partner at Sterling Energy Operations and worked 11 years with Duke Energy in the power generation business. In addition, Gallagher is a member of the Board of Directors of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. He is also a veteran of the United States Navy.
