groSolar, a subsidiary of EDF Renewable Energy, announced it has finished the 2.8-MW Town of Ontario Solar Project.
The facility, constructed on land shared with the town’s wastewater treatment facility, will provide power for the town of Ontario, New York for the next 25 years.
groSolar indicated the development was made possible by funding via New York Governor Cuomo’s NY-Sun initiative, administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
“The Project is an excellent example of how municipalities, state agencies, and private companies are collaborating to bring new sources of distributed power generation to communities across the country,” said Timothy Heinle, groSolar Vice President.
