iDeal, Sofort & GiroPay payment options now available on Protolabs Network

As Protolabs Network is expanding in Europe, we’re making it easier for our Dutch and DACH customers to pay for their orders.

Our platform just got more convenient. Three local payment options - iDeal (NL), Sofort (DACH), and GiroPay (DE) -  are now available on the Protolabs Network platform. This makes it easier for our European customers to pay for their orders without needing a credit card.

Here’s how it works

Once you’ve uploaded your parts, received an instant quote, and are ready to pay for your order, you’ll be directed to the Protolabs Network payment portal.

See below for the following payment steps of your preferred payment option:


In the payment portal, you’ll see iDeal as one of the available options. After selecting this option, you’ll be redirected to a page provided by your bank to complete the payment. If your payment is successful, your order will be moved into production.


If your billing address corresponds with the countries that support Sofort payments, you’ll be able to see Sofort as a payment option in the payment portal. The same applies if you choose to pay by invoice.

If the payment is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us and will be able to track your order status. If the payment fails, you’ll also receive an email from us and can try again with either the same or different payment option.


Just like iDeal, you’ll see GiroPay as one of the available options on the payment portal. Once you’ve selected this option, you’ll be redirected to our 3rd party payment solution to authorise your payment. If the payment succeeds, your order will be moved into production.
